Nutrition Refinement

Hormone Optimization and Replacement Therapy (HRT) is all about helping you feel like you again. By assessing and adjusting key hormone levels — like estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, and cortisol — we support your body’s natural rhythms and restore balance from the inside out. This personalized approach is designed to boost your energy, mood, sleep, and overall vitality — so you can feel better, function better, and age with ease.

Hormone optimization isn’t just about age, it’s about how you feel. While many people start noticing shifts in their late 20s and beyond, it really comes down to symptoms. Treatment is completely personalized based on your lab work, how you're feeling, and what your goals are. Common signs of hormone imbalance in both men and women can include low energy, brain fog, mood changes, trouble sleeping, thinning hair, skin changes, weight gain that doesn’t make sense, or a drop in sex drive and performance.

We use exclusively bioidentical hormones, formulas that are chemically identical to the ones your body naturally makes. This helps reduce side effects, improve results, and support long-term health. Depending on your needs and preferences, treatment may include creams, patches, oral options, or pellets. Everything is personalized based on your symptoms, lab results, and goals to find the approach that works best for you.

Your Appointments Consultation

Your first hormone therapy consultation is all about understanding your symptoms, your health history, and your goals. We take time to understand what’s going on and whether hormone optimization is the right fit. This visit includes a basic physical and lab work to get a full picture of your current hormone levels.

At your second appointment, we’ll walk you through your lab results and talk through the best treatment option based on your unique needs. If everything looks good, we can start therapy that same day. You’ll come back about three months later for follow-up labs and a check-in to see how you’re feeling, make any needed adjustments, and make sure everything’s working safely and effectively for you.

Many patients notice improvements in mood, energy, sleep, libido, and even body composition. While some changes can be felt sooner, it typically takes about 3–6 months to experience the full benefits of hormone therapy.

Who can and cannot take Tirzepatide:

Tirzepatide is ideal for those who have not achieved weight loss through diet and exercise alone and looking to lose weight to improve their overall health. Generally speaking, those with a body mass index (BMI) of at least 27 and have one or more weight-related health conditions, such as sleep apnea, high blood pressure, or cholesterol. However, as we learn more about GLP1 medication class, it is helpful for those with even more modest weight loss goals.

Given the theoretical risk, tirzepatide should be avoided for those with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma. Those with a history of MEN 2 (multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type-2) should also avoid tirzepatide. Those pregnant or breastfeeding are also unsuitable candidates.

Dr Taylor will consult with you to determine if it is the right treatment option for you. You can find more detailed information on tirzepatide by clicking this clinical study from Lily Pharmaceuticals

  • No! Modern day HRT is much safer than it was in past decades thanks to bioidentical hormone options, lower doses, better delivery methods, and close monitoring. Studies show a link between oral Estrogen supplementation and increased risk of blood clots and cancer and as a result oral Estrogen is very rarely prescribed.

  • Pellets offer a steady release of hormones, enhanced bioavailability, reduced side effects and unmatched convenience for patients. Pellets are dosed specifically to each patient and can include both estrogen and testosterone or just testosterone.

  • No! When doses are specifically tailored to you, estrogen can play a vital role in hormone balance. Estrogen is naturally occurring in men and is key in brain function, bone density, cardiovascular health, and libido.
